| seller note | Fine conversation tube approximately 38in long. The bell end is fashioned from some synthetic resin to look like tortoiseshell and is impressed 'MEARS A OL380 3 52'. The arrow suggests use in the UK military whilst the 52 will refer to the year of supply, 1952 (these antique-looking devices were used from the end of the 19th century to a surprisingly late date in the 20th century). The device still works as intended and is in good physical condition. |
