| seller note | A late 19th century leather cased ear trumpet Of typical form, with an ivory earpiece, the reverse inscribed Weiss & Son, 62 Strand. 11.5 cm long. Some chipping and surface wear, some paint loss, general wear, case tatty and separated. |
| comment | This brand is unknown to me, so a must have item. Upon inspection the horn is a version of a London Dome with a coiled tube to the earpiece. I was surprised that the horn is magnetic, so it is made of iron. |
